How long you’ve been Natural? 

Practically all my life. When I was younger I used to have soooo much hair and my sister had a hard time maintaining it and I so badly wanted a perm so my sister put it in my hair at the age of 11. That was the only time I ever put chemicals in my hair.


When did you big chop, or begin your transition?
I’ve pretty much have had long hair all my life. I’ve made dramatic cuts a couple times in my life but mostly just get my haired trimmed.


What where some of the biggest deciding factors in your decision to go natural? What was your inspiration?
I was immature when I made that decision to get that perm but outside and since I’ve never believed in putting chemicals in my hair.

Did you have any reservations about going natural? What were your family and friends responses when you did it?My whole family is natural. There may have been 1 or 2 that put perms in their hair once or twice but for the most part all natural.

What is your go-to product? And go-to hairstyle?
My Shine serum gives my hair shine and keeps it from getting frizzy and dry. My go to hair style is leaving it down.

What do you love about being Natural?
I love being able to wash and go. I jump out of the shower put my serum and that is it.

Aside from your natural hair, what are your passionate about? What do you do for a living?
I love the kids. I work as a Youth Services Manager at a non-profit organization. I am also very passionate about my faith and loving helping people to the best of my ability.
